Comprehensive IT Solutions
Focused Disposal & Data Security
Secure IT Disposal in four steps
- 1Book a collection – online or through your account manager
- 2We collect securely – GPS-tracked vehicles, full chain of custody, serial-level logging
- 3We destroy & recycle – certified erasure or shredding, then reuse or zero-to-landfill recycling
- 4You get reports & value back – certificates, ESG data and any recovered value, in your portal
Our open-book value-offset model sets the value recovered from your equipment against the cost of disposal, so most customers find their collection is free.
Trusted in the sectors where compliance can’t slip
Frequently asked questions
No. There is no minimum quantity. Surplex UK Limited will collect a single laptop or an entire data centre.
What changes with the size of a collection is the offset, not whether we will come. On a standard collection the value recovered from the hardware covers collection, data destruction and recycling in full. Where a load is small, or made up of low-value peripherals only, any remaining cost is quoted openly and agreed before work starts.
Surplex UK Limited provides IT asset disposal, secure data destruction, WEEE recycling, battery and UPS disposal, data centre decommissioning, and managed ITAD with asset value recovery for multi-site estates. The company also provides free IT asset-tracking software.
Every service runs on one open-book value-offset model, so the value recovered from redundant hardware is set against the cost of collection, destruction and recycling.
IT asset disposal is the whole retirement process for business hardware, covering collection, data destruction, value recovery from anything still worth something, and compliant disposal of the rest. IT recycling is the final stage, applied to equipment with no remaining value, where the hardware is broken down into material streams under the WEEE regulations.
Surplex UK Limited provides both, which is why a single collection can carry high-value IT and low-grade WEEE together.
Surplex UK Limited works with organisations of every size, from single-site businesses to multi-site enterprises, and across the public sector including schools, colleges, NHS trusts and local councils.
The same accreditations apply to every collection, so a school receives the same certificate of destruction and the same chain-of-custody record as a defence prime contractor.
Surplex UK Limited collects across England, Wales and Scotland, from offices, data centres and the home addresses of remote employees.
Collections are made by vetted drivers on the company’s own fleet rather than by third-party couriers, which keeps the chain of custody unbroken from the desk to the processing centre. Surplex UK Limited works from an office at 5 Brayford Square, London E1 0SG, and a processing centre at Pillfields, Pendock, Gloucester GL19 3PW.
Most customers find their collection is free. Surplex UK Limited works on an open-book value-offset model with no minimum quantity, so the value recovered from your redundant hardware is set against the cost of collection, data destruction and recycling, and you are shown both figures. Where the recovered value does not cover the work, a small logistics and processing fee is payable, quoted and agreed upfront before anything is collected.
