Our open-book value-offset model sets the value recovered from your redundant equipment against the cost of collection, certified data destruction and recycling. Most customers find their collection is free on that arithmetic, and on higher-value estates the balance can fall in your favour.

Most customers find their collection is free on that basis. For a smaller collection, or a complex managed project, any remaining cost is quoted transparently and can be partly or wholly offset by your hardware rebates. Costs and rebates are confirmed with you before work starts.

Surplex UK Limited destroys data to NIST 800-88, the recognised guideline for media sanitisation, and to BS EN 15713:2023, the British and European code of practice for secure destruction.
Hard drives and solid-state media are shredded mechanically. Where value is recovered from hardware, data is erased with Certus certified software, which produces a report against each device serial number. On-site mobile shredding is available where media cannot leave your premises.
Yes. Surplex UK Limited is an Environment Agency licensed waste carrier and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
The company is certified to ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management, and registered on JOSCAR for defence and aerospace supply chains and FSQS for financial services. Collection and destruction staff are screened to BS 7858. Current liability insurance certificates are available on request.
